I’ve long wanted to walk away from posting blogs. I rarely found any kind of interaction with readers through them, except once, through Our Own Worlds.

I was surprised that my last blog post was in March of 2022. It must have been during a window in caregiving duties, and when I had much more time off than I do now. Then I had my weekends off in a span of a week every six to eight weeks. This past year–2023–I’ve only had 16 hours off a week.

The hope I have is that I’ll be able to create more interaction with readers, and grow my audience. I have been able to write, and edit, though not consistently for the most part. I have been finding balance this past month, which feels incredible.

In my newsletter, I’ll be sharing what I’m writing, peeks into one of my new series’ book bible’–a worldbuilding book that helps me keep characters and places consistent. It’s not an Ihyel book, so the worldbuilding has been very different! The first book in the series is set in the year 1800, and in England. It’s a bit magical and quite a lot of fun, even if it is set in the dark underbelly of Jane Austen’s world.
