“The unseen is so vibrant within everything…”
…. and in everything my characters do, especially if they’re Divine and they don’t know it. Almost everything that they do is symbolic. Everything that happens to them is symbolic.
I grew up making up stories along the stream in my back yard. Rocks became countries, poplar pods became pirate ships, and water skimmers and tiny fish became sea monsters. My friends, my twin, and I would explored miles of creek and woods, past beaver damns and privet palaces. My stories evolved with mythologies of various places in the woods, and a kinship to the land. Things haven’t changed much since then.
My characters are misfits. Reluctant heroines, semi-outcasts, with self doubt and imposter syndrome. They’re human, and not. There’s something special inside each of them: the very thing that makes them unique—that save the day, their people, or reveal their inner divinity.
I’m easily found on Facebook, I pop in from time to time on Instagram. There’s a basic map of Ihyel can also be found on World Anvil. Facebook is probably the easiest way to contact me, but I do have a newsletter. I’d love to hear from you!
