A POETRY ANTHOLOGY ABOUT LOVE
Night of a Hundred Moons
Even a goddess may chafe under the demands of motherhood.
Boann is wife and mother, but envies her husband Nechtan his time in quiet contemplation beside the Well of Wisdom. She wants solitude, and respite, but has no space or time for it, and her heart aches at his blindness to her predicament.
In the night of a hundred moons, she finds her peace, but at great cost.
NIGHT OF A HUNDRED MOONS is a narrative poem that reimagines the ancient Irish myth of Boann, goddess of the Boyne river. According to legend, she challenged the power of the forbidden Well of Wisdom, and caused the waters to surge and created the Boyne, and was swept away by the currents.
This anthology also includes poems about love, courting and relationships, written over years.
